After sitting down and eating lunch we decided it was time to explore some more. We found bridges that led us to cliffs and more climbing.
Michael was trying to figure out how he was going to get down the side of this mountain. I vetoed all his ideas! I didn't want to spend my birthday in an ER room.
We did find a way down and the boys had a great time! They climbed up this fallen log and onto the side of the upper falls.
You can see the boys in the middle of the picture. I love my zoom!
They had a blast exploring and being boys
poor Nathan. 30 minutes later he is still trying to conquer this log. I had to keep Nestle with me so I just encouraged him to keep trying.
and then Daddy showed up!
all is right in his world again.
taking another path....there is so much to explore.
We found this water snake. He held very still. I could just imagine the snake thinking "they can't see me, they can't see me". We left him alone after taking a few pictures.
Nestle crawled, literally crawled, into the front with me and laid her head down and went straight to sleep. This poor dog but every morning she was up and ready to go. I swear she was smiling!
