Oh goodness! This morning was interrupted with Nathan running into the house screaming "baby bunnies and Nestle, help me!" I ran outside after Nathan to find Nestle very curious about these four little tiny things in the yard. At first I thought she might try to eat them. Birds don't survive in our yard when she's in the mood but she seemed more curious than hungry. So I took Nestle back inside and then moved the four little bunnies back into their hole. They are most adorable! Not even filling up the palm of my hand. One of the babies only measures 3 inches! They are sooo tiny and their eyes are barely open.
The mommy bunny had these babies not even 20 feet from the boys playset/fort so that means until these babies get bigger and can stay out of the way, the boys need to stay out of their way. I went ahead and put this over the bunny hole so that we remember they are there and we don't accidently mow them over. This will also help to keep the babies dry during all this rain.
